Workers in Nike factory

Today we watched a video in human geography class. This video talked about the treatment of people who worked in Nike factories in Indonesia.
Nike is one of the largest sport wearing company in the world, and it has many factories especially in developing countries because of the lower wage of workers. In this video, we saw some workers in Indonesia Nike factory, they worked for a long time every day but only make a few money which is much lower than American workers. They make less than 10 dollars wage every week and I think it is even not enough for them to eat well. But this low salary in Indonesia is legal because the government didn't make the policy about the minimum wage of workers, which may be because they want to let the cheap labor power be an advantage of their country. Nike company set up factories here because they wanted to save money from laborers although it was not good.
And the living condition of workers are also terrible. They lived in a 9*9 room with their family, and this room is only as big as a small part of our classroom. They also shared other things with many people, like kitchen or bathroom. Some of them have already fought against the Nike company because of the wage and condition, but they failed in the end. I think Nike company did the wrong thing about that, and they should pay more wage for Indonesia workers and make the living condition for them better. It is unimaginative that how they survive in such a sweatshop.
